NACS, Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps and HETAS Approved Chimney Sweep in Newcastle
As a chimney sweep I have achieved the National Association of Chimney Sweeps’ Chimney Sweeping (NACS) qualification. I am also HETAS Approved Chimney Sweep and hold a National Vocational Qualification in Chimney Sweeping. I am also a Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps approved Chimney Sweep.
About NACS (the National Association of Chimney Sweeps)
I completed my NACS qualifications in November 2014.
The NACS was formed in 1982 as a professional Trade Association, promoting high standards for the sweeping, inspection and maintenance of chimneys.
The NACS is recommended by all major fuel organisations, including the Solid Fuel Association, HETAS (Heating Equipment Testing & Approval Scheme), and OFTEC (Oil Firing Technical Association).
NACS Members work strictly to the NACS Code of Practice © 1982 and Code of Conduct for the cleaning of chimneys.
Certificates provided
On completion of work, I issue a Certificate of Chimney Sweeping and recommend when future cleaning is necessary.
HETAS Qualified Engineer
As a HETAS qualified engineer I have also met the requirements of HETAS under the Competent Persons Registration Scheme (CPS) and can service or repair your multifuel or woodburning stove for you too.

Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps Approved
The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps was formed over 20 years ago and is a “not for profit” trade association for professional chimney sweeps.
National Vocational Qualified Approved Chimney Sweep
The NVQ in Chimney Sweeping is a knowledge and skills-based qualification which includes the inspection, servicing, maintenance and sweeping of biomass and solid fuel appliances and their chimney and flues across both the commercial and domestic sectors.
Why Chimney Sweeps North East?
I welcome enquiries from Newcastle and the surrounding areas and I travel throughout the North East (Northumberland, Wearside and Co Durham).
I also provide stove repair and maintenance services which complement the chimney sweeping service as sweeping and stove repairs can be carried out at the same time.
We can provide stove spare parts and fitting of:

- Rope Seals
- Throat plates
- Register plates etc.
We can supply spare parts for all makes and models of stoves and bespoke stoves including manufacturer parts and like for like parts.
